The Par 5 hole is 527 long from the back tees. It plays towards the prevailing wind.
It gives two options from the tee:- Carry the bunker on the left- Play on the right of the bunker
The risk of carrying the bunker on the left gives the rewards to play from an elevated position that gives the complete view of the hole, the golfer is tempted to go to the green in two shots, carrying another bunker.From the right side of the fairway it is not the possible to see the green, the only part of the hole that is visible is the right side of the fairway after yhe waste area.
The 70 y waste area is the main feature of the hole and who misses the fairway with the tee shot can only lay-up before it. The fairway is shaped to have a small area before the sand on the left that gives an opportunity to get to the green in three with a reasonably short approach(155 y).
The green complex is designed to accomodate shots from the left, because a deep depression on the front-right makes challenging the approach from the right. The two bunkers carved in the natural dunes make the target apper smaller. The green has two levels.
